Can you settle a loan with MoneyView?

Yes. MoneyView can accept a reduced, one-time payment to close an overdue loan under its board-approved settlement policy. This is called a One-Time Settlement (OTS). The offer must be in writing on MoneyView's letterhead, you pay MoneyView directly, and the account is closed with a No-Dues Certificate.

MoneyView loan settlement is usually considered for app-based personal loans that have been overdue for several months, where full repayment is no longer realistic. Digital loans must come with a Key Fact Statement naming the regulated lender, and apps may not use your contact list to pressure you.

What MoneyView accepts depends on how long the account has been overdue, your income and genuine hardship, whether the loan is secured, and its own settlement policy. No one can promise a fixed percentage in advance; anyone who does is guessing.

About MoneyView and settling with it

Moneyview is a Bengaluru-based digital lending platform that offers personal loans through its app. The loans are given by RBI-regulated lenders, including its own NBFC and partner banks and NBFCs, whose names appear in your loan documents.

Borrowers come to us with Moneyview loans when EMIs pile up alongside other app loans. Under RBI's digital lending rules, you deal with the lender named in your Key Fact Statement, and recovery must follow RBI's conduct rules.

What borrowers usually owe MoneyView

  • App-based personal loans
  • Credit line products

Worth knowing · head office Bengaluru

  • Find the actual lender's name in your Key Fact Statement or agreement.
  • Repay or settle only into the lender's official account, never a personal UPI ID.
  • Report any messages to your contacts as a digital lending violation.

When does MoneyView consider a settlement?

Lenders rarely settle an account that is being paid on time. Settlement usually comes up as an account moves through these stages:

  1. Stage 1

    1–30 days

    Reminder calls and late fees

  2. Stage 2

    31–90 days

    Collections team, penal charges

  3. Stage 3

    90+ days

    Account classified NPA

  4. Stage 4

    Written off

A written-off account still legally exists: MoneyView can keep recovering it. Settling closes it for good.

MoneyView loan settlement process, step by step

  1. 1

    Check your MoneyView statement

Download your latest statement and separate the principal from penal charges, late fees and interest. This is the base for any negotiation.

  2. 2

    Get a legal review

Our legal experts read your MoneyView agreement and any notices, check the charges, and tell you whether settlement or restructuring suits you.

  3. 3

Send a written OTS proposal to MoneyView

Put the request in writing, with proof of hardship such as a job loss, medical bills or a business slowdown. Verbal requests leave no record.

    Negotiate on record

MoneyView may counter-offer. Keep every offer and reply in writing until the lender approves a figure.

  5. 5

    Get the MoneyView settlement letter

Don't pay until the letter arrives on the lender's letterhead with the amount, deadline and account number.

  6. 6

    Pay and close

Pay only into MoneyView's official account, keep the receipt, and collect the No-Dues Certificate.

Subject: Request for One-Time Settlement of Loan Account No. [XXXX]

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hold the above loan account with MoneyView. Due to [job loss / medical emergency / business losses] since [month, year], I have been unable to pay my EMIs. Supporting documents are attached.

I request a One-Time Settlement of the account for ₹[amount], payable by [date]. Please confirm the approved settlement amount, payment account and closure of the account in writing, and issue a No-Dues Certificate once paid.

Yours faithfully,

Never pay anything against a verbal promise, a WhatsApp message or a personal UPI ID. Only the lender's written letter counts.

How to check your MoneyView settlement letter

A genuine settlement letter from MoneyView should show all of these. If one is missing, ask for a corrected letter before paying.

  • MoneyView letterhead with an authorised signature
  • Your name and loan or card account number
  • The exact settlement amount and payment deadline
  • Payment details of MoneyView's official account
  • That the amount is in full and final settlement
  • A promise to close the account and issue a No-Dues Certificate

MoneyView recovery agents: what RBI rules allow

Agents can

  • Call between 8 am and 7 pm
  • Visit with an ID and authorisation letter
  • Remind you of dues politely

Agents cannot

  • Threaten, abuse or shame you
  • Call your family, friends or employer
  • Call before 8 am or after 7 pm

If an agent crosses the line, complain in writing to MoneyView's grievance redressal officer. If there's no reply within 30 days, go to the RBI Integrated Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in. See how our recovery harassment service handles this.

After you settle: your fresh start

Once you pay, MoneyView issues a No-Dues Certificate and closes the account. The recovery calls stop, the notices stop, and the debt is behind you. Keep the settlement letter, payment receipt and NOC safely.

From here, rebuilding is in your hands. Check your CIBIL report 30 to 45 days later to confirm the account shows as settled, and raise a dispute with the bureau if it doesn't. Pay any other credit on time, and your score improves steadily; you can also later pay the waived amount to have the account marked "closed". Our legal experts guide you through this after settlement too.

Mistakes to avoid with a MoneyView settlement

  • Paying an agent in cash or to a personal UPI ID
  • Accepting a verbal or WhatsApp offer
  • Not collecting the No-Dues Certificate
  • Ignoring legal notices and their deadlines
  • Taking a new loan to pay the settlement amount

MoneyView loan settlement FAQs

Does MoneyView accept loan settlement?

Yes. MoneyView settles overdue loans case by case under its board-approved policy, in line with RBI's 2023 framework for compromise settlements. It usually considers settlement once an account is several months overdue and the borrower shows genuine hardship. Every offer should come on MoneyView's letterhead.

How do I get a settlement letter from MoneyView?

Once the lender approves a One-Time Settlement, it issues a settlement letter on its letterhead with your account number, the settlement amount and the payment deadline. Don't pay against a verbal promise or a WhatsApp message. Pay only after the letter arrives, and only into the lender's official account.

What is the MoneyView loan settlement contact number?

Use only the customer care number or email printed on your MoneyView statement or on MoneyView's official website, or visit a branch. Numbers shared on social media or by agents can be fake. Legal Savvy is independent of MoneyView; our legal experts negotiate with the lender on your behalf.

Can MoneyView recovery agents call my family or visit my home?

Agents working for MoneyView must follow RBI rules: contact only between 8 am and 7 pm, carry an ID and authorisation letter, and never threaten you or contact your family, friends or employer to shame you. Log every breach; it can be taken to the lender and the RBI Ombudsman.

Can I get a loan again after settling with MoneyView?

Yes. Settling closes the debt, stops recovery calls and gives you a clean starting point. Your CIBIL score improves steadily as you pay any other credit on time, and you can later pay the waived amount to have the account marked "closed". Our legal experts guide you on rebuilding your credit after settlement.

How long does MoneyView loan settlement take?

Usually a few weeks to a few months after a complete proposal reaches MoneyView. It depends on the lender's approval levels, how long the account has been overdue and whether it is already with a collections agency, a court or a Debt Recovery Tribunal.

Is it better to settle or restructure my MoneyView loan?

If your income has dropped only for a while, ask MoneyView about restructuring or a revised EMI first: it protects your credit record. Settlement suits borrowers who cannot realistically repay the full amount, because it closes the account at a reduced figure but leaves a 'settled' status.
