Privacy Policy

Your loan and income details are sensitive. This policy explains what we collect when you contact Legal Savvy, why we need it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or delete it.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Finsbury Advisory Private Limited (CIN: U69100TS2025PTC197547), which provides loan settlement services under the brand Legal Savvy ("we", "us"), handles your personal data when you use thelegalsavvy.com or engage our services.

We act as the Data Fiduciary for your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and we also follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

2. What we collect

When you fill in our enquiry form or talk to us, we collect:

  • Contact details: your name, mobile number, an alternate number if you give one, email address and city.
  • Financial situation: your employment status, monthly income, marital status and spouse's income, and the outstanding amounts on your credit cards and loans.
  • Case details: whether your EMIs are being paid, whether you face recovery calls or have received a legal notice, past settlements, how soon you need a settlement, your preferred language and call time, and any message you write to us.
  • Documents you choose to share, such as loan statements, notices and lender letters, if you engage us.

We also collect some technical information automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you submitted the form from, and campaign details in the link you used to reach us (such as UTM tags or an advertising click ID). We do not collect your bank passwords, card PINs or OTPs, and we will never ask for them.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data only for these purposes:

  • to contact you about your enquiry and assess whether and how we can help;
  • to provide the services you engage us for, including preparing proposals and communicating with your lenders;
  • to send you updates about your case, and service messages by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email;
  • to keep records required by law, for accounting and to resolve disputes;
  • to understand which pages and campaigns bring enquiries, so we can improve the website.

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form or sign our agreement, and where the law otherwise permits.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed:

  • With your lenders and their authorised representatives, to negotiate and settle your accounts, once you have engaged us for that.
  • With service providers who work for us, such as website hosting, our customer relationship management system, communication tools and verification services. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
  • With courts, regulators, police or other authorities, when the law requires it.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, to remember basic preferences, and to measure which pages and advertising campaigns lead to enquiries. Advertising platforms may set cookies when you arrive from one of their ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, though some measurement will not.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and follow up, and client data for the length of the engagement plus the period required by tax, accounting and other laws. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to staff who need the data for your case, and secure systems for storing documents. No system is completely secure, so if we ever have a personal data breach that affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update it;
  • ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for or the law does not require us to keep it;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before you withdrew it;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to;
  • raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.

To use any of these rights, write to legal@thelegalsavvy.com from your registered email address or include your registered mobile number, so we can verify it is you.

9. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please write to us and we will delete them.
